This feature is available in v40.2 and later.
When creating connections that require data to be sent from your Hyperscience SaaS environment to outside systems (e.g., connections for Input, Output, or Database Blocks), you need to allowlist the IP addresses or domains that the data will be sent to.
In v40.1 and earlier, a Hyperscience Cloud Engineer needs to add the IP addresses or domains to the allowlist on your organization’s behalf.
In v40.2 and later, users in the System Admin permission group can add IP addresses and domains to the allowlist without the help of Hyperscience. They can manage the allowlist in the application by following the steps outlined below.
If Hyperscience added IP addresses or domains to your allowlist in previous versions of Hyperscience, Hyperscience will need to edit or delete those IP addresses or domains on your behalf, as needed. They will not appear in the application.
Add an IP address or domain to the allowlist
To add an IP address or domain for an outbound connection to the allowlist:
On the System Settings page (Administration > System Settings), click the View drop-down list at the top of the page, and click Security & Identity.
In the IP Allow Listing card, click Edit.
In the top row of the list, enter the allowed IP address or domain name in the box provided.
(Optional) Enter the allowed port for the IP address or domain name in the box provided.
Click the plus button ( ) to the right of the information you added.
If you need to enter information for another IP address or domain, repeat steps 3-5.
Click Save.
Review the changes in the Update Settings dialog box, and click Confirm if the changes are correct. If the changes need to be corrected, click Cancel to return to the list and make the corrections.
It is not possible to edit an IP address or domain in the list. If you need to edit information that you’ve entered, you need to delete it and enter the corrected version.
Delete an IP address or domain from the allowlist
To remove an IP address or domain from the allowlist:
On the System Settings page (Administration > System Settings), click the View drop-down list at the top of the page, and click Security & Identity.
In the IP Allow Listing card, click Edit.
Click the trash can icon ( ) next to the information you’d like to delete.
Click Save.
Review the changes in the Update Settings dialog box, and click Confirm if the changes are correct. If the changes need to be corrected, click Cancel to return to the list and make the corrections.
