You can associate submission-processing deadlines with layout variations. We assign these deadlines to submissions when they are matched to layout variations. While each page may match to a different layout variation—which may have different deadlines—we use the deadline closest to the current time and apply that to all of the submission’s pages. Change the deadline for a layout or layout variation
When a layout variation is created, it is automatically assigned the system-default deadline.
To change the deadline of a layout or layout variation, follow the steps below.
Go to Library > Layouts, and click on the name of the layout whose variation you would like to edit.
Find the variation whose deadline you would like to change, and click on the downward arrow in its card ().
Under “Submission Processing Deadline,” click the pencil icon ().
Select Custom Rule for this Layout Variation.
Use the options in the drop-down lists to specify deadlines for each set of conditions that make sense for your business.
Each condition is defined by submission-creation time. You can set conditions for submissions created At anytime or Before [a certain time of day].
For each condition, you can set a deadline to be at a specific time of day or after a certain amount of time has passed since the submission’s creation.
When determining which condition to use for a submission’s deadline, we start at the beginning of your list of conditions and use the first one that the submission qualifies for. In this way, your list can be thought of as an “if...else…” decision tree. Therefore, we recommend ordering your conditions in chronological order, based on the submission-creation times in their definitions.
Click Done.
Note that deadlines are assigned at a layout-variation level and are consistent across all versions of that layout variation. A changed deadline will take effect immediately, but it will not update the priority of submitted pages matched to the layout variation prior to the deadline change.
