Model Validation Tasks (MVTs) improve the Document Classification, Field Identification, and Table Identification automation rates. During model training, a model can make high-confidence predictions that are incorrect. To minimize incorrect predictions, you need to complete MVTs. The results from the MVTs can be used for re-training the model to achieve greater automation.
Types of Model Validation Tasks
You can complete the following kinds of MVTs:
Document Classification MVTs — These tasks prompt you to classify documents manually. To learn more about Document Classification MVTs, see Document Classification Model Validation Tasks.
Field ID MVTs — In these tasks, you are asked to confirm whether predicted field locations are accurate. For more information about Field ID MVTs, see Field ID and Table ID Model Validation Tasks.
Table ID MVTs — Table ID MVTs ask you to verify the predicted locations of table columns. To learn more about Table ID MVTs, see Field ID and Table ID Model Validation Tasks.
Additional Notes
MVTs are identical to QA tasks, so they will appear in the same queue. MVTs can also be found in the Model Details page.
When a new model is trained or imported, the old MVTs are deleted.
