To achieve Transcription Supervision Consensus for a given field, two transcription entries must have matching normalized transcriptions. At least one manual transcription of the given field will be required, regardless of the machine’s confidence in its transcription. To enable Transcription Supervision Consensus, use the following settings:
Enable Manual Transcription Supervision in your flow’s settings.
Select Consensus for a given field from the drop-down menu of the Supervision setting in your layout’s field metadata.
The following sections of this article explain the consensus process for completing transcription tasks through the Task Queue and the Submissions table.
Completing transcription tasks through the Task Queue
QA uniqueness disabled
You, the keyer, are presented with the transcription task once.
If you match the machine’s transcription -> completed.
If you do not match the machine’s transcription -> the system presents the task again. If you still fail to match the machine or first transcription guess -> the task is presented again until you match the machine’s transcription or any of your previous transcriptions.
QA uniqueness enabled AND only 1 active keyer
You, the keyer, are presented with the transcription task once.
If you match the machine’s transcription -> completed.
If you do not match the machine’s transcription -> you need to wait until the QA uniqueness timeout ends before this task becomes available again. Then, the task is presented again and again (with timeout) until you match the machine’s transcriptions or any of your previous transcriptions.
QA uniqueness enabled AND 2 or more active keyers
You, one of the active keyers, are presented with the transcription task once.
If you match the machine’s transcription -> completed.
If you do not match the machine’s transcription -> you need to wait until the QA uniqueness timeout ends before this task becomes available again for you. In the meantime, another keyer can complete the task.
